Meet the Team

Katrina Bell, CPFA®

Hi, I’m Katrina. My work passion is using retirement plan design and financial planning to create impactful outcomes for businesses and their employees. I believe that most business owners and leaders care deeply about their employees and want to provide them a benefit that helps relieve financial stress, and sets them on a path to financial stability and freedom.

My approach to working with you brings endless curiosity for problem solving, a creative nature that does not like to take no for an answer, and a strong focus on partnership and connection. I’m 100% committed to helping you create retirement strategies aligned with the values you lead and live with, with my own work guided and informed by my own.

My why includes my two social-justice minded young adult daughters, the village that helped me raise them, and the desire to live out my own life as part of a solution, having enough to be able to share with those in need.

I bring you over 20 years of experience in working with retirement plans and helping people plan for retirement. I hold a B.S. in Business Management and the Certified Investment Management Analyst certification administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute in conjunction with Yale School of Management, and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation earned through the National Association of Plan Advisers where I have served on the Leadership Council and other American Retirement Association committees.

For more details on me, you can read my Linked In Profile here and follow Well Retire on Linked In for the latest updates on retirement plan issues.

Chris McKennie, Client Service Administrator

Hi, I’m Chris. I’ve worked in the financial services industry my entire career, the last 14 years with a Portland based wealth manager.  Prior to that I worked at both Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments.

My husband and I retired to Redmond, Oregon in 2018. Our ten acres of land, a dog, cat, and 4 chickens keep us busy.  After finishing the building of our forever home, I yearned to be back at work helping others achieve their financial goals.  A mutual friend introduced me to Katrina.

I live by the financial motto my dad taught me early in life, never put more on your credit card than you can pay for in that month. My other motto is to keep things simple.  This might mean helping a client fill out some paperwork, making sure Katrina has everything she needs before a meeting, or assisting one of your employees with a question on their retirement account.

In my down time, I enjoy perfecting new recipes and spending time in my craft room creating handmade greeting cards.  I also loves the outdoors of central Oregon where you can find me out hiking with our dog Jake.
